thinking through details before baby comes... ladies only please

To those of you who have an opinion on such things...

What kind of nursing bra do you prefer? Do you even use one? I've never found one I liked.

I know I had a few more questions, but my mind is blank...

This time around I've been using nursing tanks that I got at Target. Very comfy.

the YES! bra from canada. I get them off ebay. It has a pretty front like a Bravada, but the back of a sports bra. Pretty cheap and good bra, only $18 with shipping from Canada! They have black, white and beige and a pretty bamboo leaf print all over it. They unlatch, but can also be pulled down. They have an awesome "no roll" elastic at the bottom. I've been talking them up since I got 2 with Eden.

I used the ones from Target, too. I can't remember what the brand name was, but they were really easy to fasten/unfasten and I know they have the line of tanks, as well, which are great.

Medela, I bought them from ParkRidge East lactation consultant and from JC Penny when they had them on sale. They are pricey, now they go for 35...but they give support for those who need it like me and I have used them for both my kids. Do NOT buy the Medela sleep bra, waste of money

That is an excellent question! Too bad I have no answer for you. I never really found one I was happy with and have actually been dreading that part come February.

I'm checking the answers of your readers carefully. :-)

I've tried the YES! bra and the Target tanks, but they didn't work as well for me. The YES! bra did roll up on me and showed through my clothes too much to be practical. The Target tanks shrunk right away and weren't sized well. I have wanted to try the Medela bra and the Bravado, but have been too cheap to buy them. Matt is telling me to spend the money and buy a good brand... thoughts?

This question has been lingering in the back of my mind recently as we anticipate December! I remember getting some at motherhood, but honestly, I'm pretty big when not nursing, so I need some major support. They weren't great in the support area. Please let me know anything you find out!

Ha! Reading through the comments reinforced that everyone has such different opinions about this! I have the YES bra too, and don't love it. It does fit well and is supportive but has no padding (which I count on for leak protection, now I mostly just use it at home) I do love the Medela sleep bra for sleeping (started using it at the end of my pregnancy), and would get more next time to use in those first few weeks. They don't have padding either but are super comfy & easy to use, and you don't leave the house much at first anyway. I haven't found a regular bra I love, the one I like best is from Motherhood. I did not like Motherhood nursing tanks though, they lost their shape quickly and the elastic was itchy!
